Tractor and agricultural machinery seating

Upholstery for tractors, harvesters, backhoes and other agricultural and construction equipment has specific requirements that differentiate it from common automotive seats: more aggressive operating environment (dust, humidity, extreme climate variations, exposure to pesticides and hydraulic fluids), longer and more intensive use cycles (operator may spend 10-14 daily hours on the seat during planting or harvest seasons), need for damping in uneven terrain (farmer receives continuous impacts through the seat), specific ergonomic demands (positioning proper for equipment control, not driving). Premium manufacturers (John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Valtra, Massey Ferguson, Kubota) use high-density molded HR foams (50-80 kg/m³) with integrated active suspension in many models. Ergonomic aftermarket seating is also a significant market.
