Secondary white goods appliances

Beyond refrigerators covered in Level A (Application 05), the complete white goods line uses PU in multiple applications: washers and dryers (acoustic insulation to reduce operational noise, drum vibration damping at high rotation, door seals, motor mounting cushions), ovens and cooktops (high-temperature thermal insulation with specific formulations, door seals, plastic components in cold areas), dishwashers (acoustic insulation, detergent-resistant seals). Requirements vary significantly between applications: dryers require PU with resistance to internal temperatures of 80-90°C for years; washers require vibration absorption at low frequencies to avoid transmission to structure; ovens require thermal insulation with high Tg to avoid degradation in operating range. Massive market globally — each white goods unit uses between 500g and 3kg of PU depending on category.
