Mining dump truck bed linings

Haul trucks used in open-pit mines — giants of 100 to 400 tonnes capacity manufactured by Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr and Belaz — transport crushed ore and waste from the extraction site to the processing units and stockpiles. The truck bed on these trucks suffers extreme wear and is also a significant source of noise (ore dumped on steel produces deafening noise that affects occupational health). PU truck bed linings combine two functions: wear reduction (extends truck bed life from 3-5 years to 8-12 years in severe operations) and significant load noise reduction (up to 50% dB reduction). Application in cast blocks bolted in place or in high-thickness spray PU (30-50 mm). Market growing driven by: stricter occupational noise regulations, growing focus on TCO (total cost of ownership) reduction in large equipment, and expansion of heavy mining operations globally (especially in iron, copper, gold and coal).
